Aurora Sweater part X- felted and done!

Finished the final step for this project: felting all the seams!! i just used a washboard, hot water and dish soap. it worked really well. i just went around all the seams and felted them enough to bind but not so much to cause shrinkage. i let it dry overnight and today i have Eva coming over to model the sweater for some archive pics. will do something dramatic for the photos...there is a giant empty stainless steel tank here at the winery that i think i'll use for the pics. it's beautiful silver with interesting light that gets thrown around from the portholes. either that or have her out in the woods channeling sashquatch. this sweater is a little clan of the cave bear......

Feast O' Sweater!
If Corridale Tasted Good I'd Eat This Thing!Ah ha! The evil plan has come to pass! here it is. one complete, from scratch, sweater. took these pics then wrapped it up and shipped it off to NY where apparently it is winter. this sweater is too hot to even look at in California. and then to wear it on a warm sunny spring day inside a giant metal tank?? all i can say is; thanks eva! and not even a tiny smudge on the makeup.....you're the most professional amateur model ever.

New Project Already......are you fucking kidding me!?
no. i'm not kidding me. i have another hugemondo project in the pike. it's been waiting. it's for Mindy....my newly appointed spiritual guide. didn't even know i had a spirit clanking around in here! but that's one of the benefits of having your own SG.....they help you find those things! so.....mindy is working her cranio sacral magic on me (along with a dash of mind reading.....really! more later on that....). she is trading me for yarn and projects though. and she wants a scarf done up in an ocean/mermaid/sea creature theme. and she wants it in blues and some green. but it has to be a certain palate....because she is a spring....or maybe a summer. she mentioned teal.....but not the teal of the 80's i don't think. we need to investigate this a little further because we speak a different language. she speaks in the language of the spirit guides and i speak art and design. so when i'm asking....warm blues? she's saying...spring teal with mermaid hues.  i'm actually a bit nervous. i haven't told anyone this before, though i'm sure mindy has already mind-read it, i'm actually really retarded with blues. i'm mean, think about it. have you guys ever seen me make a blue yarn? ...ok...maybe there was that one that kathy bought back in '04.....but i bought that roving, i sure as hell can't dye blue. it always comes out green and pink. i kidnap blue from the rest-stop bathroom, put it in a box in my truck and give it a new name. but i am fine with blue if i'm painting. you know....i like prussian blue. i think that was van gogh's blue.... but i hate phthalo blue. phthalo blue is so flabby and it makes me want to jump off a bridge. depressing. maybe that was van gogh's blue then? he was depressed. see!!! this is the problem you get into when you get into blue. it ties deep into human emotion and vexation. maybe that is why a spiritual guide want's it? it makes sense. anyhow. i am willing to brave the scary world of blue. it must be part of my new journey. tomorrow i will go down to the yarn store and browse the dyes. after a little clarifying session with mindy on the difference between mermaid blue and deep sea summer green.
