Best Ebay Score EVER!
Oh man- i just made the biggest score on ebay this morning!! Agiant pile of vintage millinery flowers....there's like, almost 600 flowers in this bunch! oh sure....what's the big deal? well, i have been on a mission to find these exact flowers ever since Camp Pluckyfluff East in PA 3 years ago. Camp Easterners: don't you remember these? one of you put some on the sharing table and i was all over it! one of my best yarns ever came from that class and those flowers (see below). But i only had a few little flowers and i have looked and looked and never found anymore. then randomly, i was searching for paper dolls on ebay and there was this auction! needless to say- this has made my month. i have already started dying new fiber to make some flower yarn. alas! but it still has to travel through the snail mail.  and so-  i wait.

The yarn from PA Camp knit into a scarf. now lives in NY somewhere i think.

Uh-hem....this is me modeling the scarf at, like,  8 months prego!

Wow. I belive this is the same kind of flowers I bought in Russia earlier this year. Your yarn is as usual beautiful. I love it. Here is mine: http://www.skolseg.no/blogg/?m=200705

freakin' awesome
i've been searching for some reasonably-priced millinery flowers me-self. so far all i've found is wee bunches for ~$3/ea., which simply won't do for making yarn. there's a little vintage dry goods store here in arcata, and i get oddments from them for my yarns, but usually end up using them as an 'idea store', then search ebay for quantities.

love the scarf, btw, and LOVE the preggers shot.

I remember that scarf and those belly shots! The flowers are so, so sweet and look fabulous with the yarn - great score!

Delightful memories from PA Camp and you got them all strung up in a garland-like scarf. You even wore that t-shirt to class. Therese
