Oh my god....i love it so much i want to make out with it. is that wrong? it doesn't feel wrong. it feels so right. i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this sweater. oh and i was hating it! i'm so sorry sweater!! i don't deserve to touch your snuggly wildness! i am so not worthy...to think i almost abandoned you, for....for a beenie project!!! oh god. but i'm back and begging you to just let me nuzzle your lumpiness. i promise i will never never never stray again.
So here we are. almost complete!!! i just need to turn this thing inside out and hand felt the seams in hot soapy water. sewing the seams alone is just too sketchy with all the gaps and holes. and i don't want this thing falling apart down the road. this last part went surprisingly smooth. just trimmed all the pieces down to the right shape and stitched it all together. no sweat. it fits me perfectly so i know it will fit aurora. OH Aurora!! You got to love me now! man...i'm so not being very humble...but i fucking LOVE this thing.
Sorry for the pixelated pics. forgot my camera and had to use my old crappy one. and um.....sorry for the super dorky "i'm taking a picture of myself in my project" pictures. i always do that these days. but i swear to god, when the cute girls at my "work", (aka, my family's winery where i have permanently set up shop and refuse to pay rent) see me coming with a camera and a knit project they literal run the other way.
trimming up the pieces so they fit nicely:

where the sleeve gets stitched to the body:

left the edges of the seam shaggy to give enough loose fiber to felt.

me about to make out with my sweater: (will get an actual model next week...though i won't have her making out with my sweater!...aurora, i guess it's ok if you do...)

it's really impossible to take a picture of yourself in a sweater...i'd need orangutan arms to get everything in view.
