New Waves!
so the search is on for new material for my crashing waves. i can definitely use recycled sari silk but i can't find any in white! some of you have sent pics of throwers silk in white and i am thinking about that...or maybe just some old silk that i rip and shred myself but that requires some hard searching in the thrift stores. i did, however, find this AMAZING recycled silk from a shop in the UK. it's a by-product called silk "string". this is perfect!! but of course i emailed to order and have gotten no response. will try an old fashioned phone call i guess. if anyone has seen anything like this, or has any for sale email me!!

Other News!
Check out my new link over there to the right for WORKSHOPS. just getting everything lined up for '08 and '09 but i need to hear from people who are interested....i won't book 'em unless i have a long enough waiting list. so i'd love to hear from you guys.
and on this note...what up NY?? i got no one...... didn't we rock last time? the party ain't over....

sari silk
Can you find a white sari or white silk fabric. I just pulled many, many yards of "sari waste silk" off of a silk remnant I had in my stash. It's a bit of a pain but I got piles of it. More than I wanted in fact.

For you camp list you have 1.5-2lbs fiber. Is that blended wools, any wool types, pre-dyed in certain colors we like, wool locks, could you be more specific. Trying to see if I can make the Seattle camp and what I all might need. thanks

2 lbs. of whatever wool/fibers you like to work with. i recommend that at least half be in roving form. roving that is lofty will work best for what we will be doing. like what you get from small mills as opposed to combed top or superwash roving. (though we can work with whatever you have!) batts and locks are fine too, though i will provide a lot of uncarded fiber as well. feel free to also bring other non-wool fiber that you are interested in using and we'll work it in.

Is that from Wigham Wool Work, I'm in the UK Lexi and would be happy to sort out an order if that's what you need?
