Deep Seacrets Scarf part Who the Hell Knows Anymore....
Took a little check-out on this scarf (and reality) for a couple days and decided to do some spiritual research for the project instead. so spent a few days watching a Ghost Hunters marathon and reading Carlos Casteneda's The Teachings of Don Juan. This is all bad news for me.  normally,  i adamantly never believe anything, because actually i am very likely to believe everything. and that's not even really the point. there is nothing in particular to believe in in the first place. did carlos actually turn into a crow? that's a fool's question.  i may be losing it on this one for sure.....

decided to start spinning the yarn for my spiritual guide's Deep Sea Full of Secrets and Mysteries Scarf. started with the dark "deep sea" batt and spun it soft and thick and thin. i wanted to give it some dimension, so added perfect little white beads for bubbles and loosely wrapped some sections in a silvery thread. for reflected light....or maybe moonlight on the water. also spun some little nubs in aqua green sparkle here and there. will work into the other sections next.

and that's all i can muster for now. best friend Aurora is in town from NY (sans sweater) but we're rockin like there's no tomorrow, so look for this blog be even more of a disappointment (or disaster. i take no responsibility ahead of time for things i might write as i get more and more sleep deprived and polluted. mental editing becomes just too much work. remember the dog painting incident? yeah, well....these things could happen at anytime....).

Hey Lex--
Mindy--your SG here. Let me remind you gently that you are more in tune than you can muster the wonder and courage to believe at the present time. You amaze me. You are probably really my spiritual miss guided-- guide. That's how it works ya know--. Anyway, I've been researching ravens/crows because I love them and they aren't about death but messengers of magic . I am gathering the necessary materials to attract them to my yard. Well, my little non- believing believer, above and beyond dog food they love shiny things the most--so thanks for the silver thread, raaven love. As you are spinning and knitting this scarf --know that I am diligently decorating the fruit trees with sparkly earrings to call my black feathered friends near.

dude! if you fill your trees with jewelery you are going to attract more than crows! but i'm sure it will work. and if not, you can just smoke some of that special mushroom tobacco don juan was talkin about. then you can actually BE a crow. but according to carlos, the part where your nose turns into a beak actually kind of hurts....so just keep that in mindy. oops! i mean keep that in mind! telling slip there. you put the mind in mindy.....

going to do more spiritual R and D with aurora today. going to the top of the mountain. luckily there is a bar there.

lovin' it!
I am just so tickled to have met you ... your work amazes me more and more every time I peek back in on you :) I love the bubble idea!!!

I'm gearing up for Artfest in Seattle next week and have your yarn bits all over me from making journals and purses! Just love putting pieces of your yarn in as everyone loves it to death!

I'll post pictures when I'm done so you can see what it's all become!
