The Reanimater part IIII- Who's Going To Clean Up This Mess?
so i took ozzy's eyes down to the studio last night and tied some nice strong string to them. want to make sure they stay put for Squirrel. he's gunna need good eyes if he's going to avoid another accident! Then i spun the string like a core and had the fur spin up to and a round the eye...so it looks nice and natural. that was the final touch. so i soaked and set the yarn and here it is!

Your pictures scare me ... in the best possible way. I think good art creates a strong reaction in the viewer. This yarn has that beautiful/violent vibe that really puts me on edge - I just don't know how to feel about it and keep vacillating from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other! -Evonne

That is so cool and gross at the same time. You really captured roadkill. :)

Did you know i'm a cyclist? Yep, i'm one of those maniacs that has ridden my bike for over 100 miles in the same day.

I'm mentioning that because cyclists always encounter lots and lots of road kill. So naturally, my experiences on a bicycle put me way closer to the dead things than i ever cared to be.

When i saw your squirrel, it triggered the same feelings that I would feel on the road--a tinge of curiosity, repulsion, and then humor (humor usually related to low blood sugar and exhaustion, but I digress).

To put it bluntly, your kill is more lifelike (er...dead) than I can bare!

Seriously, I'm really amazed at the imagination it took to do that. Even though it makes me a little woozy, you really did an awesome job Lexi. I think you nailed it (perhaps by a big 'ol Ford truck)
